Pre-AP World History Unit 5: Medieval Europe & The Crusades
Thursday 2.11.16
Today we started our Unit on the Middle Ages and Crusades. To help us review the impact of Islamic culture students constructed a children's book that will be collected after the long weekend.
Wednesday 2.17.16
Today we contined to look at the Middle Ages. We took notes and watched several clips on an array of topics: from Charlemagne, to knights, and finally the mideval Church. Students were assignmen a map of Eurpe for homework.
Friday 2.19.16
Today we contined to look at the Middle Ages. We reviewed the life of Fudaul Europe through Crash Course. Then we examined the Viking civilization and tested our luck in a role playing game as Vikings making a raid. After completing the game students were asked to write a reflection/summary of their adventure.

Today we learned about Chivalry how the Russian's assimulated into preasent day Francea and Russia.
Thursday 2.25.16
Today students learned about the Norman Conquest by William the Conqueror.
Monday 2.29.16
We started a project on the Crusades today. Students started class by looking at the Speech by Pope Urban II in 1095. After a brief discussion we then divided into groups and started our research using credible sources on the internet.

Workday on Cursades Group Project. (Due Friday 3.4)

Presentations on the Crusades were done by the groups and Mr. Griffin gave a lecture on the Crusades.
Tuesday 3.8.16
Today we did stations on the High Middle Ages.
Thursday 3.10.16
Today we looked at the 100 years war, the Black Death, and the Great Western Schism in more detail.
Monday 3.14.16
Today we examined guilds, looked at the evolution of Russia and worked on our study guides for our upcoming test on Wednesday.
